Kathryn E. Narrow Recent Works

Feb 5th - Feb 26th, 1982

Resident Artist Solo Exhibition: Kathryn E. Narrow.

Kathryn E. Narrow, "Recent Work" opens Friday, February 5 at The Clay Studio Gallery, 49 North Second Street.

Ms. Narrow, who received her BEA from Philadelphia College of Art in 1970, has been a production potter for the past eight years, working primarily in stoneware. Her new work, however, focuses exclusively on hand-carved porcelain functional ware. The procelain clay body, with its principal characteristics of smoothness and whiteness, gives added richness and depth to these hand-carved pieces.

Ms. Narrow, now a teacher at Philadelphia College of Art, has shown widely in the Philadelphia area. One of her recent commissions was the restoration and replacement of historic tiles for the Mark Twain House in Hartford, Connecticut.

The exhibition continues through February 26. Public reception for the artist will be held on Friday, February 5 from 6-9 pm.
