Invitational Solo Exhibition: Paul Brandwein.
The Clay Studio is pleased to present artist Paul Brandwein's "Metamorphosis" from November 8 through November 30, 1985 as the third show of its season. Mr. Branwein combines human and animal imagery in his work to create whimsical and sometimes eerie clay figures.
Educated in sculpture at Kansas City Arts Institute, MO, and Tyler School of Art, PA, Brandwein currently resides in Rochester, NY, and has a ceramic jewelry business there. In addition to his figurative work, Brandwein says he is also exploring "ambiguous biomorphic forms...to express more of my inner thoughts and emotions. I now want to concentrate even more on combining forms, textures, and colors beyond the confines of recognizeable' images."
