Oct 2nd - Oct 25th, 1992

The Clay Studio is pleased to announce "Spirals, Meanders and Whirligigs" a solo exhibition featuring resident artist Andy Cleff. This exhibit will stand in the Front Gallery of the Clay Studio from October 2nd through the 25th with the opening reception Friday, October 2, 5-8pm. Gallery hours are Tuesday thru Friday 12-6 pm, Saturday & Sunday 12-5 pm.

Andy Cleff received his bachelors from Princeton University in Engineering and Architectural Design and, there, studied ceramics with Toshiko Takeazu. He recently completed a summer assistantship at Peters Valley Craft Center, and is currently a resident artist and instructor at the Clay Studio.

In this body of work, Andy states "I'm exploring form - through ideas about movement, geometry and the sum of parts." Andy has created richly surfaced, multiple sectioned sculptures that are not being dissected, but are coming together as a whole to form a union.
